There was a wedding ceremony in the town of Canaan in Galilee. Jesus and his disciples including Jesus' mother and many other guests, had also been invited to the wedding ceremony. In the province, there was a custom that wedding ceremonies continued for days. The invitees enjoyed eating delicious food and wine.
When the banquet was ripened, the bridegroom found that the wine had given out. He was worried about treating the guests ill.
Jesus' mother said to his son Jesus.
"They are out of wine."
Jesus answered.
"You must not tell me what to do. My time has not yet come."
Jesus' mother then told the servants.
"Do whatever he tells you. "
"Yes, I see," the servants replied.
They told Jesus what she said.
Jesus told the servants to fill these large stone jars with water. When they were filled, Jesus said,
"Draw some water out and take it to the man in charge of the feast. "
They took him the water, which had turned into wine, and he tasted it. He called the bridegroom and said.
"Wow~ I have never tasted this best wine, before!"
The bridegroom did not know where this wine came from, but the servants and Jesus' mother Mary had known.
