• Jesus was prepared for his last day. Before going to Jerusalem for the Passover's Prayer, he had visited the home of two sisters and a brother, Martha, Mary and Lazarus. He had raised Lazarus from the dead. So, they wanted to prepare a dinner for him, there, which Martha helped serve. Lazarus was sitting at the table with Jesus.

Then, Mary took a whole pint of a very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She sat down beneath Jesus' feet, poured it on them, and wiped them with her long hair.

The sweet smell of perfume filled the whole house. All the people were dumfounded.

Then, Judas Iscariot, one of Jesus' disciples, said.

"Why wasn't this perfume sold and the money given to the poor?"

This perfume, equivalent to annual fee, was prepared by Israeli virgins for their weeding. He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but he was a thief. He carried the money bag and would help himself from it.

Jesus praised Marry and told him to remember the day, forever.

"Leave her alone. Let her keep what she does for the day of my burial. You will always have poor people with you, but you will not always have me."
